Alaska's Inside Passage
Shaped by the staggering force of massive glaciers millions of years ago, Alaska's Inside Passage boasts wildlife-filled fjords and lush island scenery - habitat for bald eagles, sea lions, porpoises and whales. Its mountains are carpeted with majestic forests. Inside Passage Alaska is home to Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian Indians whose history is reflected in towering totem poles. Russian settlers left a legacy of onion-domed churches gleaming with icons.

San Juan Islands and the Canadian Gulf Islands
Say "San Juan Islands" and images of ferry boats slipping through emerald isles beneath a deep blue sky with the white-capped peak of Mount Baker in the distance will likely form in one's mind. And they should. San Juan County, with more than 408 miles of rocky and sandy waterfront, boasts more shoreline than any other county in the nation.

The San Juan Archipelago, which includes the Gulf Islands of British Columbia, comprises more than 700 islands and reefs; with only about 176 of the islands large enough to be named.

The Canadian Gulf Islands extend just north of the San Juan Islands and the Canada Border. Made up of over a dozen large islands, the Gulf Islands are interspersed with a multitude of islets too numerous to count. This special west coast Gulf Island paradise of Canada is a small taste of the Mediterranean, blended with a unique Canadian flavor.

Baja and The Sea of Cortés
Like the Galapagos Islands, Baja's unique environment has given rise to plants and animals found nowhere else on Earth. They evolved in isolation on this arid-to-tropical peninsula sandwiched between two large bodies of water. Remote islands in Baja's Sea of Cortés harbor indigenous species so bizarre they inspire awe and disbelief. Native plants, like the elephant tree, make the landscape appear surreal. Immense cardons, the world's largest cacti, lift their columnar arms to bewildering heights, dwarfing the gnarled branches of twenty-foot tree yuccas.

In stark contrast to the desert, the Sea of Cortés teems with marine life. Tides surge up and down the narrow gulf, creating strong currents and eddies which bring nutrients from the deep. The water surrounding the Baja peninsula contains an abundance of marine mammals. Over 20 species of cetaceans (whales, dolphins, and porpoises) have been identified here.

Discover the intricate waterways in these three regions via private yacht and have your vacation completely customized by your captain and crew. You and your family, friends, or clients sail for a week – or longer – through rich and pristine waterways, far away from the crowded cruise ship routes. Your itinerary will be based upon communication between you and your captain and the various conditions of the day, including where the most wildlife can be found.
