Flying Safaris...Adventure, Wildlife, Lodges

Entree Alaska's flying safaris are the ultimate way to experience the wilderness. Imagine soaring over a high ridgetop, gliding past a family of mountain goats, grazing on lush green grass. As you clear the ridge, look back: a waterfall spills five hundred feet in a series of cascades to the verdant foothills below. Off to your right, an opaque river snakes down from a glacial remnant, clinging to a cleft in the mountain range.

Fly over country never explored by man. Land to visit remote Eskimo villages seldom seen by travelers. Here you are not a tourist, but a guest. Land on river bars to observe bears, with no hint of human presence. Touch down on virgin beaches where herds of walrus tumble together in the sun. Beachcomb for treasures delivered by the massive Japanese and North Pacific currents. Picnic among brilliant wildflowers in the intense Alaskan summer.

In March, follow the famous Iditarod Sled Dog Race. In April and May, ski and dogsled the virgin snows of the Wrangell Mountains. June through early September, watch the bears on the Katmai Coast gorging on beach grasses and spawning salmon. Observe rare migrating waterfowl on the Kenai or Seward Peninsulas. Flyfish lakes and streams so unexplored they resist naming and mapping. Or head north to the remote Brooks Range and the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to watch herds of caribou navigate the rugged terrain. All this to a backdrop of soaring mountains and a carpet of colorful plants and flowers.

You'll be expertly cared for by your Alaskan bush pilot/guide, and safely shown the secret wonders of this great land. Every night, you'll land at a superb wilderness lodge or village. You can expect a friendly welcome, comfortable accommodations and homestyle Alaskan dining.

Tell us what you'd like to see, to experience, to explore- we'll craft a glorious flying safari adventure for you.
